Elevate Water Polo has partnered with the Barcelona International Water Polo Academy (BIWPA) - one of the world's foremost water polo academies - to bring an elite Level 2 coaching accreditation to South Africa this August.
Led by Yuri Colet, BIWPA co-founder and Head of Coaching, this course goes beyond drills. You'll learn how to structure a complete water polo training programme according to international standards, and understand the core, systemic approach BIWPA uses to develop successful teams and athletes.
Your 4-Step Pathway to Accreditation
- Coaching Seminar (In-Person) - An intensive 4-hour workshop with Yuri Colet.
- Shadow Coaching (In-Person) - 8+ hours of live, on-deck experience shadowing expert coaches during our camps.
- Assessment (Remote) - Complete the Level 2 written exam and a practical coaching assignment set by Elevate.
- Accreditation Award - Earn your official Elevate Level 2 Coach Accreditation certificate.
Meet Your Coach - Yuri Colet
Co-founder, coach, and technical director of BIWPA and Barcelona Waterpolo Club, Yuri has coached prestigious Barcelona clubs including AE Santa Eulàlia, CN Sant Andreu, and CN Poble Nou — securing two consecutive promotions to the Primera División Nacional. He served as technical director for Aquàtics Sóller in Mallorca, coached the Balearic Islands selection, and holds the highest coaching certification from both the Catalan and Spanish federations, with high-performance training at the CAR High-Performance Center.
